ADULT Learn to Scull (ages 18 to up):
NOTE: THIS PROGRAM IS TO BE CONFIRMED FOR 2010
- IMPORTANT: you must have taken the "Learn To Row" program and/or are a current "Club member".
- Our program offers participants the experience of learn to scull in a T11 with a four person crew and a cox.
- Participants will learn rowing safety, sculling technique, coxswains commands, and boat handling.
- Option to join novice program for remainder of the season

How many people can sign up?
Obviously, spaces are limited by the number of seats in the boats and coaching availability. So signups are first come (i.e. paid), first served.
If you are unable to register due to the fact, the program is full, please email
info@guelphrowing.ca to advise us that you wish to be put on a waiting list, for the next session, as there may be future weekend sessions in August and/or September (not yet confirmed).
How fit do I have to be?
We welcome people 18 years or older and of all abilities and fitness levels. You must be able to swim 100 metres.
What do I wear?
Close fitting shorts (spandex bike-type shorts are ideal) or tights, and a tshirt (with a sweatshirt or fleece if it is cold). Remember to wear/bring socks and a water bottle.

Please read this page to the bottom, to become aware of the Club's 'Registration Process' , etc.
Step 1. Complete the "on-line registration" and either do 'PayPal for your payment' or 'send':
- a cheque for the total amount provided during the ‘on-line registration’.
- additional required forms (if applicable)
Step 2. Upon receipt of 'your PayPal payment' or 'your cheque', the following items occur:
- the Registrar will indicate you 'as paid' in our systems
- the "Administration/Membership Director" sends your registration information to Row Ontario and Row Canada for insurance purposes.
- an email will be sent to you, providing additional instructions similar to the following:
Check your "SPAM" inbox on your email system, to find this email, and then add the email address to your address book, so all future emails will be received.
- that you have been assigned to your requested boat times
- that a 'learn to row' coach will call you a few days prior to your first day to provide you detailed instructions, etc.
- that you have been registered with RowOntario and RowingCanada, by the Guelph Rowing Club for insurance purposes

GUELPH ROWING CLUB MEMBERSHIP AND VISITOR POLICIES
1. Only CURRENTLY registered members of the Guelph Rowing Club (GRC) may use club facilities or equipment (including privately owned boats and equipment) at the GRC site.
Guests of registered members may use the facilities/equipment on a limited basis under the terms outlined in #4.
2. ALL rowers, coaches, coxswains and volunteers MUST be registered* with the Club with fees paid in full at least 48 hours prior to engaging in any rowing/sculling or related activities at the GRC site. All GRC members will be registered with Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA), and therefore covered by the liability insurance coverage provided by RCA to its registered members.

3. There is no registration fee for NON-ROWING coaches, coxswains or volunteers.
4. Visitors wishing to participate in a rowing/sculling try-out (including acting as a coxswain, riding in a motor launch, or using any GRC facilities or equipment), or a publicity session,
MUST first receive permission from one of the members of the GRC Executive.
- Please refer to the Members’ Section of Website, to obtain current names of Executives.
- Visitors must sign the “Waiver for Visitors to the Guelph Rowing Club”* prior to participating in any GRC rowing/sculling or related activity. Visitors are not covered by the RCA insurance policy.
- The Visitor policy applies to both Club and private boats and equipment.
5. Private boat storage is available to registered members.
