If you have any questions in regards to the fee, refund, tax receipts, etc., please contact the Treasurer treasurer@guelphrowing.ca
NOTE: The process takes 10 days to ensure you are "legal to get into a boat at our club", as indicated below:
Step 1. The Member completes the "on-line registration" and either does PayPal or sends:
- a cheque for the total amount provided during the ‘on-line registration’, for the 'Rowing Program Fee'.
- a cheque for $200.00 for the 'Voluntary Hours/Payment' post-dated for November 30, 2010
- a cheque for the 'Fundraising' (if applicable)
- additional required forms (if applicable)
Step 2. Upon receipt of 'your cheque', the following items occur:
- the Registrar will indicate you 'as paid'
- the "Administration/Membership Director" sends your registration information to Row Ontario and Row Canada .
- an email will be sent to you, providing additional instructions of what to do, to become “Legal to row for the Season”
Check your "SPAM" inbox on your email system, to find this email, and then add the email address to your address book, so all future emails will be received.
WHAT does it mean to be "Legal to row this Season":
- you have been REGISTERED with RowOntario and RowingCanada, by the Guelph Rowing Club
- you have received the Guelph Rowing Club’s website’s “MEMBERS' SECTION” PASSWORD
- you have reviewed the MEMBER'S MANUAL on the Guelph Rowing Club's Members’ Section
- you have received a GATE PASS and the GATE CODE so you may enter the Grand River Conservation Park , (where the boathouse is located) .
If you DO NOT receive an email within 10 days after you’ve registered on line, or if you have any questions, please contact the Registrar: registrar@guelphrowing.ca
**VOLUNTEER HOURS/ PAYMENT
The club functions successfully on the participation of all members to volunteer in events that help make the Guelph Rowing Club the BEST CLUB!
All GRC members will provide a cheque to the Guelph Rowing Club post dated (dated is noted above) to be cashed only if 20 hours of volunteer services have not been recorded. Upon receipt of the volunteer form being submitted with 20 hours the cheque will be destroyed.
It will be the responsibility of the club member to have their form completed with identified hours and submitted to the Treasurer by the 30th of November or the cheque will be cashed and this is not a tax deductible contribution. The only time a tax receipt will be provided is if the 20 hours of volunteer service has been completed and the member has indicated at the time of registration that they would like their cheque to be a donation. Please note the recording of hours is on “good faith”.
Our club is based on the hours dedicated by our Volunteers.
